Inaugural Allstate Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge Week to feature historic doubleheader at Wrigley Field

The inaugural Allstate Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge Week will take place from September 1-6, 2026, bringing together all 34 women's volleyball programs from the two premier NCAA conferences. The event is described as the biggest regular-season showcase for women's college volleyball yet, featuring 27 matchups across 10 host campuses across the United States. The highlight of the week is a Sunday doubleheader at Wrigley Field in Chicago, the first time volleyball has ever been played at the historic ballpark. The doubleheader features No. 3 Kentucky against No. 13 Penn State at 7 p.m. ET, followed by No. 1 Nebraska vs. Missouri at 9 p.m. ET, both airing live on FOX. Other notable matchups include Arkansas vs. Rutgers at 4 p.m. ET on SECN+ from Historic Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville. Arkansas enters the event with a 3-0 record after sweeping SIUE, UTA, and UTSA at home last weekend. Allstate is the title sponsor in a two-year deal that includes in-venue branding and match-day activations at every site. The event is not a championship but a regular-season showcase designed to increase the visibility of women's volleyball and provide high-level competition between two powerhouse conferences. With a dense schedule of 27 matches in 6 days, teams will need to manage player fatigue. However, the event offers a unique opportunity for players to perform on a national stage and for fans to witness historic moments, especially at Wrigley Field.
